How busy is Orlando in January?

Once the holiday periods are over, Orlando is much more conducive in January and one of the quietest times to visit. With the exception of Disney Marathon Weekend (January 9-13) and MLK Weekend (January 19 – January 21), the number of visitors is low to moderate on most days. In regards to the crowd, January is less crowded (in the most case) after completing the Walt Disney World Marathon weekend. In the past, the number of visitors has declined dramatically since New Year’s Day, but Disney has deliberately set the marathon weekend in January, where the numbers of visitors of the Holiday period go away and RunDisney crowd arrived both happening at the same time.

One of the months with the least busy times of the year to visit Orlando, Florida is January. Take advantage of the low number of visitors this month and enjoy some of the best attractions of the complex, such as Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, without queuing. Maybe you can also jump into the incredible attraction of Creator Hagrid Magical Coaster without waiting too long. Since its opening in 2019, high demand trips with slow loads have caused great distances.

What to wear?

If extreme temperatures can reach 30 degrees on the same day, packing can be a bit complicated. It can be very cold, but it can also be very hot, so be prepared. Using layers is the key. If you leave in the morning, you should think about the future. Bring a jacket and leave it to pick up in the car when it is cold, or use the locker when in the park. If you wander through fireworks at night, shorts or light blankets are good for children in the stroller. And don’t forget those legs. Shorts and flip flops can be a good idea when you leave, but not too cold at night.
